Long time no post here. Looks like Blogger has improved the posting window and Firefox works better than old versions of MS Internet Explorer here. I will try to insert an image and see if that works now. We had some snow yesterday. While snow was still falling and before a few inches melted, I got a photo. (Note: this part of post is weeks old. It was sitting as a draft. However, just heard today that there is a chance of snow in the Black Hills of SD tonite or tommorrow. Unseasonably cool spring after mostly unseasonably warm winter. As an early TV comedian used to say, "Strange things are happening."

Well, the photo upload is not working.

Guess that photo posting is not possible without using Picassa and that won't run on my old operating system.

I am also wondering if archives or part of them got lost in the the various changes of this blogger system.

Well, I still like the looks and readability of this blog. I have however renewed...well let's just say my credit card got billed for a renewal of TypePad for a year..and will continue most of my effor there. But I do see some real improvments with Blogger and it does work with FireFox even if my old version of Internet Explorer went bonkers

Latest news is out good old dog died. We had her for something between 15 and 18 years. One of these days I will get a picture and some comments written while I was still in a teary mood about a faithful friend gone.

Another election past and we still have Bush screwing up evering he touches and lying about everything he has or intends to touch. Even with the Kleptocrat administration buying press coverage and blogger loyalty, Bush still looks like a fool when he talks. His policies and appointments are all egregious. I am still wondering how any Democratic Senators think playing wimp in tutus is a way to alter opinion of Bush. Their tepid support or opposition does nothing to point out the severe problems and only lends credibility to his absurdly fine messes.

Too many Democrats need backbone transplants. Well take a look at Dakota Today for more of this kind of stuff. ------ Doug Wiken

Some site news--TYPEPAD--DAKOTA TODAY.
While I was having a lot of difficulty posting here on Blogger sites and Blogspot during an apparent transition to a new quick post system, I started looking for other ways to keep a blog going with features I liked. Part of my problems resulted from using MS IE v 4.1 which had worked well previously. Anyway, now typing this Using Mozilla Firebird. Thinks here are working better, so I will continue to do some posting here unless something else goes KAPUT. I owe some loyalty to Blogger and Blogspote since they offered my first opportunity to do any significant Blogging.

BUT, Check my new Blog using the TypePad webspace and blog system based on a Moveable Type engine.

A COUPLE OF ET CETERA LINKS

If you are a winedrinker, and you want to help the University of SoDak, you can try some of the Valiant wines. Buffalo Run Winery.
Look for the "Old Main" wines. 3 bottle sampler for $45.

I have no idea if it is merely drinkable or excellent or just a curiousity. Not everybody has wine from South Dakota in their wine cellar...or refrigerator...whatever. Nobody in California or France probably cares either. Might go well with buffalo burger. But I sure wouldn't know.

And,this Might be interesting if you like sailing and damned complications: (From a post by Davis X. Machina in Salon Table Talk- 07:15 pm Pacific Time - Nov 17). No such simulator for ships of the desert.

. Free HMS SURPRISE simulator
No fighting, just sail handling, and damned complicated....

Still Alive. Still posting here and there
, but not so much here since "BlogThis" now won't work with W95. Contributions are welcome for a
new computer system which might work better with the new Blogger.

Or, I should get serious about upgrading this system to W98SE at least since I have the upgrade sitting here, but apart from this and a need for working USB, have not had much reason to gamble with complete irrevocable crash of my system in the process of upgrading. Whole lot of crap to delete first.

My frustration with the intellectually, ethically, and morally corrupt Bush Thug administration continues. Bush is so defective that his defenders have resorted to an alien form of defending him. Somehow, it is now unpatriotic to note this emperor has no clothes. Not only that those who manage to find some faults with Bush and his co-conspirators must be filled with "hate". This would be very amusing considering the millions the professional Clinton haters spend defaming him without regard to real issues, intellectual abilities, knowledge, competence, or even issues.

The hypocrisy evident everyday in the defense of Bush policy and issue outrages by those engaged in the foreign, alien form of defense is stunning.
This is hypocrisy decorated with Christmas lights, thanksgiving turkey feathers, trading beads, imported fireworks, and economic waterfalls trickling.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and Think Howard Dean as President in a year or so. Goodby to the outrage that is the Bushsub2 administration.

COMMENT---NOTHING NEW...NO, I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH NEW BLOGGER sYSTEM

Blogger has a whole new format or database system (I don't know). However, while I can post something I write like this, BLOG THIS for posting websites more or less automatically no longer seems to work at all and the interface does not seem to allow posting to all of my blogs...only one that I don't much use. I don't know if Blogger Pro which costs something to use works any better or not.

Some former users of Blogger and Blogsite have moved their blogs to BLOG CITY. This appears
to be a British blogging system and seems to have some advantages over basic blogger, but may not have any advantages over Blogger Pro. But, I am really
not sure. Anybody have any comments on other blogging systems?

If comment system is not working as well, follow the e-mail link at left.

Thanks, will keep plugging away and trying to get BLOG THIS working again.
But, useful information at Blogger site related to the new format seems to be significantly short of useful information .....or perhaps I have not found the magic
key yet.

FORMER VERMONT GOVERNOR HOWARD DEAN ANNOUNCES HIS RUN FOR
PRESIDENT AND HAMMERS BUSH FOR POLICIES THAT HURT AMERICAN PEOPLE

DATELINE; 4:46 p.m. EDT June 23, 2003

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Howard Dean made it official. He is running for President on
the Democratic ticket.

Dean accused President George W. Bush of dividing Americans. Dean said that he will act to combat tax cuts he thinks are unfair and an economy he says is hurting the American people.

"Seven trillion dollars of our wealth has disappeared, retirees have lost pensions and have to go back to work, college grads are moving in with their parents because they can't find a job," Dean said. (((((( Just heard this is the worst time to hunt for a job in something like 8 or 12 years ))))

The former Vermont governor believes the Bush thugs lied to the American public about the war with Iraq, which he was against from the beginning, He also noted he is committed to universal health care and a balanced budget. "Everyone under 18 in my state has health care. I'm the only candidate as a governor who's ever balanced a budget."

Dean said as he has said dozens of times before,it's high time that the Democrats start standing up for what they believe in again.

"Copyright 2003 by thewmurchannel.com. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed."--- well isn't that special. Copywriting what a politician says and has said a hundred times before by now. Call in the recording industry lawyers to make sure a CD or DVD isn't somehow made out of the published spin. Wonder if Dean would get better press coverage if he advocated the death penalty for those with the brazen audacity to read a web page and decide there was actually some news there worth repeating. Maybe it really was special 5 or 6 hours ago. Hot out of nowhere.

LAT= http://www.thewmurchannel.com/politics/2288491/detail.html

PS: Dean responded to Potato Brain Russert's inquisition game without jumping across the table and pounding the crap out of the fat asshole. Spin today is that Dean was unable to answer Russert's "probing questions". Republican spin-masters and media hacks must be really scared of a Democratic candidate who is intelligent and appeals to Democrats outside the narror confines of the DC corridor. Russert's questions were the political version of compute in your head within 10 seconds the time it takes for a light beam to move from the sun to the moon and bounce to earth on the first full moon of July and then add in the time required to span the US 10 times via a fiberoptic line. Just off the top of your head off course.

The terror of the wingnut apologists is apparent by the incredible distortion and spin they are putting on the Dean time on Russert's Stomp the Press.

MUST BE SOMETHING IN UTAH WATER
Wired News: Orrin Hatch: Software Pirate? Urine Leak Hatch thnks computers owned by downloaders with copyright music, video, software, etc should be automatically destroyed by some kind of copyright destructor worm or virus.

As is typical for this Republican Hypocrite, his own site uses software without a valid license.

There must be something in the UTAH water that causes residents there to become demented enough on election day to vote for Hatch.
An actual yellow dog, let alone a yellow-dog Democrat, could not be any worse as a US Senator than Hatch. ))))))))) Doug Wiken

DUMP BUSH AND DAMN THE COURT HOAX HE RODE IN ON
Date: 6.18.2003 - 8:21 PM
Author: Douglas Wiken Subject: Impeach the (W)ar (M)ongering (D)emagogue
JOHN DEAN WRIT AT FINDLAW
George Bush looked us in the eye through his weasel eyes. Leaned across the
podium. Wiped his usual smirk off his face. Got as serious a look as
anybody who went AWOL from the TANG could.

Then lied through his teeth..not (gasp) a fib about sex..Nope, this was a
Texas Whopper about Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD for Short....also short
for War Monger Demagogue).

He fed us a line of humbug that had great constitutional implications since
he was misleading Congress, deceiving all of us, justifying war with false
pretenses trying to fool the rest of the world at the same time. He
was discussing matters of lives, fortunes and sacred honor. He was grossly
misusing all his Presidential authority from Chief of State to Commander in
Chief.

His "evidence" has been shown to be a hoax. Th kind of evidence one might
get by responding to one of those ..just send us your credit card number and
we will send you your key to a bank account in Nigeria or Niger..or
whereever. The information the Bush thugs fed to Hans Blix and the UN
inspection teams never produced anything. People in western SD are openly
wondering if the trainloads of gas from bunkers there will end up
mysteriously
in a hole in an Iraqi desert.

Bush lies and deception are not fibs about sex. They are serious enough to
actually warrant impeachment. Consider lawyer John Dean's comments
in the attached link.
Where is the outrage? Where is the humbug outrage about a lying AWOL
Texas Twit drug abuser being a rotten "role model" for all the youth of
America (being left behind by his education hoax)?

Anybody remember all the garbage about a President as
role model? Where is loser/gambler wingnut sychophant moralist
Bill Bennett's moral outrage about Bush failures of omission and commission?

Have all the Republican Wingnut hypocrites suddenly gone deaf and dumb or
is the only thing important in their lives their perverse curiousity about
the
sex lives of other people?
